Bubba's Room
Here are pictures of Bubba's room now that it's all ready. Paul finally finished the upstairs and carpet was installed Thursday. Yes, we're cutting it close but at least it's done! I'll post pictures of upstairs later.
Anyway, we moved the extra bed out of Bubba's room so that there is actually room for him when he comes next week! I love his bedding. It's called Derby Plaid by Cotton Tale. It's great because there are several colors and several patterns in it, which has made finding accessories (like valences and baskets) easier because they can just be similar in color and not an exact match. I thought about trying to make a diaper stacker since the one that goes with his set is out of stock but just ran out of time.
Enjoy the pictures and soon there will be pictures of Bubba!
I have to call the hospital at 5 tomorrow morning and then be there by 5:30. Yes, that's in the morning!

His crib and crib set. I LOVE IT!!! It's a green chanel, rust plaid and then 2 different navy plaids. The crib is a pretty cherry. I wanted white but this goes well with his set.
His changer matches the crib. I moved the glider from the living room into his room and bought a plaid pillow for it. It doesn't match the set, just goes with it.

Baby Update!!!
It's been so nice to have a long weekend with the snow that we recieve Friday night through Saturday but I am ready to head back to work and get somethings done before I go out on maternity leave.
I had already scheduled leave to being next Monday Feb 8, 2010 and was looking forward to a couple of days of doing nothing! Well, Paul took me to the Doctor's yesterday (I wasn't about to drive in this mess by myself). Everything is looking really good. I'm still at about 1 cm dialated and about 50% effaced, which I've been for almost 2 weeks, by the way.
Anyway, we were getting ready to go when Dr. Glynne came back and said "How would you like to go ahead and have this guy on Monday?"
Paul and I took yesterday to talk about it. I also called my freind who works at the hospital. So, we are going to go ahead and be induced on Monday Feb 8, 2010. "Bubba" will be 4 days early, if he cooperates and doesn't come earlier, which will be fine with us.
I'm all for this plan. I like having a plan. I have been fairly anxious about actually having the baby. I'm not one to tolorate pain and haven't been looking forward to going into labor. Even though everyone tells me an epidural is a wonderful thing! This plan is actually giving me some comfort in knowing how things will go.
So, the next time I'm able to post here, hopefully there will be new pictures of "Bubba"!

Ultra Sound Pictures!
Gosh, I have been really, really terrible with keeping up the updates. One day I'll get it together!
In recent news (about a month ago) we found out what we are having! I have to say that I'm very much happy to announce that Paul and I are excepting a BOY!!!!
He doesn't have a name yet, we are working on it. He looked really good though on the ultrasound and has had a good heartbeat whenever I go to the doctor. Although, it was very funny the other day at the office. The Nurse was trying to get a heartbeat and was having a very hard time because he wouldn't stay still. You could hear him kick the monitor and then he would be gone!! It took her 3 or 4 times to get a good heartbeat on him!
Please enjoy the pictures we have of him. I'll add some of his crib soon. It's set up!
13 weeks to go till we actually get to see him!!!

Time for an update.
Well, I guess that it's time for an update since I've been terrible about it this summer.
1st, we moved into the new house and finished up the school year. Nothing too exciting about that in itself but makes for busy days and nights.
2nd, Paul and I found out that we are expecting! That is the biggest news since moving. We barely had a chance to get into the house and settled when it happened. We're both excited and so are our families.
At this point, I'm on my 15th week and things are looking very good. We go back during week 19 to have another ultrasound and hopefully find out what we are having. Paul and I just want a happy, healthy, all the fingers and toes and other important parts. We'll be glad with either boy or girl and will go from there.
I've been feeling alright. Throwing up is not my most favorite thing but it is getting better and my doctor was nice to me and gave me some medication to help with it.
It's a bit aggravating. I don't fit in my clothes but I don't really fit into maternity clothes either. Unfortunately, we headed back to school and I can't live in Paul's sweatpants and t-shirts and will have to figure something out.
I don't have a picture yet, but I'm sure that there will be one eventually.
That is all of the exciting news, not a lot but enough that's worth sharing!

Been a while?
Well, it's been a while since I've been able to post. Lots going on here at the Holloman house!
First, it was the wrap up of school, which meant days of exams and cleaning up. But! School is over and all ended fairly well. Graduation was the 13th and went very well. In and out in about 45 min. Most parents were very well behaved.
Also! I turned 30 on the 10th. Nothing big and fancy. Paul took me out to an italian resturant called Mario's, which I really like thier Shrimp Alfrado. Soo good!
Anyway, easy pie, right? WRONG!!!
Little did I know that my momma had been scheming behind my back, with just about everyone! They threw me a suprise party Friday night! It was really nice. The big suprise was that my best freind from Indiana flew in for the weekend! I couldn't believe that Stacey came!! We had the best weekend of catching up, movies and shopping. I hated that she had to go home.
All of last week and this week I have been driving an hour back and forth to Greenville, NC to work on a grant for school that is with ECU. It's really going to be great but I hate the drive and can't wait for it to be over! I get to take one of my wonderful students, Lori, with me and she has really been enjoying it. Lots of cool field trips and activities for the students that are there!
Next week Paul, Annie and I are heading to Charlotte to visit with his parents and some of our freinds.
Well, that's all for now. I'm going to try and attache some pictures but who knows how that will turn out!

New Lawn!
So for the last three weeks, it has been crazy trying to move and get settled into the new house. It's still a little caotic so there are no new inside pictures but I did take some from the outside. Here's the story that goes with them.
Last week Paul and I made the decision to not get new living room furniture like we had talked about before we moved. Instead, we decided that we needed to deal with the front yard. Paul could handle the back but the front was going to be way to much for him to deal with on his own or with the help of some hired hands (aka: students we trust to do it right).
A good family freind recommened a landscaper, Kris Lawler, who lives in our neighborhood. He has been absolutly wonderful!
Yesterday, he had a crew come out and re-grade the whole front yard and even fixed the sink hole on the side yard where the septic tank and pump are. He totally fixed the drainage problem we were going to have and tried to level it off as much as he could.
This morning at 5:00 am, the centiped sod was delivered. I only know this because I had been awake since Paul got up at 3 for a bathroom break, then again at 4ish when Annie was growling at the garbage truck and then again with the sod truck. At 6:00am there was a tractor running around the front yard and 4 guys already working.
I don't know what time they actually finished the yard but at 10:30am there were almost to the street. It looks AMAZING!!!! And I'm so glad that we did it. I think that I'm going to try and talk Paul into getting a couple more pallets and doing the side yard where the garage is.

Oh! I forgot. There mound of dirt is where we are going to put up a retaining wall and have a flower bed. It's actually where they had to cut down the clump trees after they killed them all off by buring the septic lines in between them all.
I just think this says it all about our builder. Three weeks after we move in and the numbers for the house still haven't been put on. Yes, that is blue painters tape holding them to the front of the house.
